MS3 runners? Hey guys, I'm building a forged ls1 Stage II 5.3 heads and a MS3 from TSP. I also have a fast 90mm intake and t/b, performabuilt tranny with 3000 stall, 373's, u/p, slp cold air kit, and a 100 shot. I was hoping for around 450-500 on motor. If any one has a similar setup what kind of numbers are you putting out. |
Please do a search on this. I can think of a few threads I have seen with this same thing in the last few days. 450-500rwhp with that combo is sort of a stretch in an automatic. |
What were some of their problems? |
I never said there were problems. :) You just wont see that much on a dyno. You didnt list headers or any kind of exhaust, so if you don't have any of that then of course you will see less. The more bolt ons the better. |
My bad, I have hooker lts, y-pipe, and magnaflow exhaust. |
I doubt you will see anything close to 500. I would guess 430 - 460 assuming that you have all the supporting mods. |
I agree with arboyatc, his estimation should be fairly accurate as long as the converter will lock up. Automatics are not dyno queens due to all the drivetrain loss the suffer, but take that thing out to a track and it should do pretty well. That will let you know how much power the car is making. |
I have a very similar setup , MS3, PRC 2.5 5.3 heads, FAST 92/92, TSP 1 7/8headers, Vigalante 3600, 12 bolt w/4.10's, and made 425@6600 on an unlocked converter. The car went 11.29@120 last night with a 1.55 60ft in a full weight 2001 Camaro. Don't expect any dyno numbers but I would expect some decent track times. |

I think 420 - 440rwhp can be accomplished based on your set-up. |
