Have you researched the EPS cams yet? I highly suggest you give them a look before going with an off the shelf grind that will net you less low end than disireable for street manners. Don't get me wrong, I had a G5x2 for a year or so before switching to another cam. I loved it, but it wasnt what I was looking for in my search for torque.

I may be the only guy on here to have ran the g5x1,x2,x3 and the x4 cam from LG. If you can for what you want the g5x3 cam will be the best. out of them all,it is the best cam I had for driving, power and 1/4mi performance. but,if you can only get the cams you stated, then get the x2 cam. it will perform very well for you and do what you stated.

As I said on Corvette Forum, I would go with the g5x3 on a 114.

I just bought a 04 CTS-V LS6 and I am wanting to install a G5X? This will be my daily driver and the wife and kids will ride from time to time. What is the best cam for a everyday driver? Any suggestions would be appreciated. My goal is 400RWHP. I have Lingenfelter cold air intake, magnaflow catback and underdrive pulley. I am also going to get Longtube's installed the same time as the cam. Dont get me wrong I do want it to hit a little but I dont want it so loud that I get tired of the car. Would you recommend electric cutouts so when I want a little more noise I can open them up?
