LQ4 w/243's?
 
Did gm ever put 243's on lq4 engines? I came across an lq4 that was a warranty replacement, and it had 243's installed.

No, 317s with larger chambers. Someone put them on there.

I just bought a LQ9 from a escalade with 85K miles on it. Would like to switch out to some 243's. Or could I mill the 317's down alot, like .040 to get them down to 66-67cc?

That's what I was thinking. The guy said when gm put a replacement engine in his truck it came with those heads. I'm guessing someone screwed up on the part #'s
