Default MS4 or MS3 cam with Dart 205 heads and bolt-ons?

Well after doing a little research on cams and learning a bit more about them after my last thread, I decided not to go with the GT11 cam.
But rather to go with a MS3 or MS4. I'd rather not go through the hassle and whatnot of a custom ground cam.

First question
Will I have any ptv clearance issues with either cam and my Dart heads?
Second, is it worth it to for me to go up to the MS4 over the 3? How big of gains would I expect over each?

My mods are ported Dart 205 heads, 4k stall 373 gear. The rest are basic bolt-ons listed in my sig.

This is my first cam but I'm not new to cars, just my first N/A build.

I still Daily drive the car about 40 miles a day, but its highway so I'm not too worried about mpg.
Any idea what kind of numbers I would put down with this set-up. Thanks guys. I know its like beating a dead horse with the cam questions, just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

a custom cam is a 15 min phone call ,and cost $25 more.It will be ground for your motor and make better more usable power.talk to EPS for ideals.

Garygnu is right about the custom cam. However i had very good results with my ms4 cam only setup..you should put down around 420-440 in an auto..As far as ptv goes that will depend on how much your heads have been milled.Good luck with your setup...

Careful of the valve drop on Dart 205's. Those cams have marginal PTV and a head with less valve drop may require flycutting.

sounds like you want the biggest cam you can fit in there if you are considering the magic sticks. I would just call and have a custum one made for you, its worth the extra couple bucks to not worry about donkin a valve. I told the guy who speced my cam I wanted the biggest N/A cam that would safely fit under my ported 243's. he speced me 235/243 646/654 110+2. The MS3 and 4 have more intake duration than mine, and thats the valve that hits. I also had stock valves. Just me 2 cents.

from seeing vids of those 2 cams i would go with the MS3. plus not too much lift and its easier on the valvetrain..
