The pushrods don't need to be soaked but the lifters definately do, overnight if possible. The rockers could use some oil on them if they are new but otherwise there would be no need to soak them.

Lifters and pushrods are new however I'll be upgrading my stock rockers w/ the triunion upgrade kit which is new.

Thanks for the input. I'll soak the rockers and lifters for sure.

I submerge pushrods as well so they fill. Then when I install them I put my thumb over the hole on top so they don't drain. My oil to the rockers comes up quicker. Also, I use Redline Assembly Lube on the pushrod cup of the rocker and the valve stem contact with the rocker to cover those minutes where no oil is supplied from the lifter. It can be minutes too.

I also soaked mine for about 48 hours. Just took a quart of oil & poured it in a cheapo throw away tupperware bowl & let them sit. I just tossed in my rockers & lifters though. Been 3yrs & 50k miles since then & running like a top.

I'll soak flat tappet hydraulic lifters and hydraulic roller lifters. I've even pumped them while they are still in the oil to try and remove all air bubbles.
