You will not gain any hp by going from steel to titanium retainers. Just better life from the retainers.

Agreed, unless the steel is enough extra weight that you have valve control issues, the titanium will not add HP.

Are your springs beehives or duals?

Titanium retainers shouldn't magically make a 15hp difference unless you're already having valvetrain issues, but they do have the potential to make more power by allowing more RPM.

Did guy justify the 15hp increase or say why/how it'd make 15hp?

Beehive, neglible difference.

Dual Spring (Patriot Dual Gold), maybe 1-2 hp diff, but more so for strength and control in the upper RPM.

Steel would actually provide better life on a street car.

You are correct, I had a brain fart or something. I meant the titanium would be a little lighter, not better life.

Ti is light and strong but interms of hardness is brittle and considering street use, it should be a consideration for sure.

theres almost no weight difference b/w a ti and stock retainer using a beehive spring. Its like 7 grams or something close?? Save your money for something else.
