Default hmm anyone esle have this oild pressure issue (vids inside)

Here I turned my ignition to run. Watch the oil pressure

This one I cranked the car. You can see at the very end how bad it hunts. I didn't rev it, it was just hunting for idle. It's even worse during a cold start. I will try to get one on the phone tomorrow.

really need more info...
Miles on the motor?
recent parts swaps? cam swap?
how long ago this started?
stock pump? or aftermarket pump?
single timing chain or a double with oil pump spacers?
Intake Swap?

More likely than all that is a bad gauge, my cluster crapped out in my 99 and my oil readings were the first to go. It jumped all over the place, or would just show no pressure sometimes.

99 ls1 h/c/i/lt's miles are unknown. the guy who sole me the car told me a lot of **** that i do not believe to this day. block looks pretty used, but according to him only had about 60k when i bought it... about 15k ago. I never changed a timing chain. Changed the fuel pump and filter, but i'm assuming you are refering to the oil pump. That should be the factory. I assume because I don't know for sure with this car.

if it has heads and cam.. then theres a chance that internally parts were not put back together correctly...

could be as simple as a bad o-ring on the oil pump..possibly pinched on cam install

or it could be as bad a spun bearing starting to rear its ugly head.

no way to tell unless you tear into the motor. and find out whats really under the shell..

it could also be just a bad cluster or a bad sending unit.
put a mechanical gauge on it to see if that is the issue

Tie it into where the sending unit goes.

Your first vid is normal. All my gauges do the same thing when the key is turned to the on position. Your second vid isn't very long at all and hard to tell what it is actually doing but it looks normal to me. Appears your car needs a better tune if it hunting for idle and idling at 500 rpm on initial startup. The 500 rpms idle is why your oil pressure shows somewhat low but as soon as it jumped to 1000 rpm the oil pressure went up.

looks normal to me... The stock pump tends to drop alot of psi when your idle goes below 500. looks like it rises with rpm, wich is all that really matters anyways... rule of thumb is +10psi per 1k rpm.

Well, since I have it i'm posting the last two videos that i have of it cold starting and the second one showing how it will nearly stall if i gas it even just over 1k rpm. That's not normal because at one point my cold start would hunt a bit, which i know is characteristic of cammed cars, but it nearly stalls now. in the vid where i revved, it doesn't stall, but i could have gotten it to if i kept trying. Am I overreacting and just need a tune, or is the tune good and i need to get some parts fixed? I used to be able to drive like normal before and it would get worse the longer i drove. not wanting to start immediately. For some reason it starts on the dime now that the car is broken.. smh. anyway, here are the vids:

Sounds like the car was never tuned or tuned poorly.

I'm suprised you couldn't tell it needed a tune from the RPMs jumping around so much in the beginning.

i think i saw the power it showed and tried to overlook the issues and replace parts thinking it was everything but the tune.
