Default TSP 233/239, Magic stick 3 or Magic stick 4

Im looking to buy a cam for my 1998 camaro stock heads bottom end etc. It will be a daily driver. What cam would be the best selection betweeen the 3. And is it possible to install any of these without a tune. I eventually will get a tuner but not rite off the bat. Which cam would be the best selction for a daily driver but still make power. The tsp 233/239 sounds a little too small for me but let me know what yall think.

all of those cams will need a tune. there is no way around it, Is your car a Auto or a manual?

If it is a auto all of those will need a 3600 + converter

Of those 3 cams the 233/239 will be the most daily driver friendly. You will definately need to get a tune if you change your cam out, the car just won't run right until the tune is done. Have you considered our Torquer v.3 camshaft? It provides a really nice broad powerband while also giving an aggressive idle. Makes a great aggressive daily driver cam.

Seems like the Torquer is often overlooked. TV3 really does scream to 6800 RPMs and pulls hard. Docile stoplight to stoplight until you get on it. Have it had it for 3 years now and I love it.

I know there is not with the Torquer V3. I'm 99% sure that the MS3, MS4 and 233/239 will NOT require flycutting either. As long as a stock size head gasket is used you will be all right.

I have the 233/239 and i love it, through my borla cat back, it sounds docile, through the open cutout, it sounds downright nasty. I made 390 to the wheel on the crap stock heads with full bolt ons and a ls6 intake, with a really really rich tune. New tune on the way and i think it has another 15-20 in it easy. It's pretty friendly on the street in a M6 too. I know it surprised me the first time i smacked a blown 4.6 stang around with it too. If youre in TX you can come ride in it any time....

Asking about daily driving donkey dick size cams without a tune is a good indication you need to do more research. Especially on the stock 98 rod bolts which should not see over 6500rpm.

Do you have headers? Intake? 4000stall or upgraded clutch? Rear end gears?

And by "tuner" I hope you meant "professional who tunes on a dyno with a laptop" and not "waste of money black box from a jegs catalog". The car will need to be professionally tuned ASAP after the cam swap or you risk doing a lot of damage.

And a good tuner will tune it on the street after the dyno
