Head gaskets for 98/806's?

Hey guys, I know there is a problem with the 806 heads having a coolant leak if you don't use the right head gaskets, I have a set of fel-pro 9284 which is what was specified for the 98. It doesn't have the tab on the side like the GM ones do though. Will I have issues using these? I searched but I couldn't find much of anything about it besides the fact that it leaks with some gaskets.

Nobody knows if I can use these?

Not familiar with Fel Pro gaskets but the GM number for a '98 car is a 12498543. Might be easier to run a set of those and be done with it. They are right at $50 for the pair.

Would those same gaskets work with a switch to 243's on a 98 ?

You do not have to run that gasket Jon listed if you switch to 243's....I would go with the 12498544's on a 243 swap if you're wanting to run a GM gasket!

The reason I chose these ones is they are slightly thinner compressed height of .041 instead of the stock which is I think .052, and I originally bought them when I was going to use a different set of heads. Its listed as the stock replacement for a 98. You're probably right though, I should just get the set I know works.
