2000 LS1 block

How much Horsepower can a stock 2000 ls1 block handle? I plan on stroking it and maybe some N20.

the research i did says the first weak link in the stock rod bolts, good to about 400 ish whp and under 6k rpms. the next link are the pistons them selves and they seem to be able to handle 500-550 whp on a good tune.

I am asking about the block, I plan to stroke it therefore it will be a forged rotating assembly

a little over 1000+ from what hotrod.com says

The block will take a decent amount of abuse. More than likely you will find the limits of the head gaskets or other part before you actually have a problem due to a block failure.

If you make all the necessary preparations to the short block should take 1000 but depending on your application you have to worry about the sleeves ballooning

how much power can the stock crank handle with some polishing and balanced?
