NEED HELP!! what rods are these?? i bought a car and pulled the motor out and now im trying to figure out what is in this thing. it i sa 414" iron block. unknown 4" crank, rods in pics and forged pistons with no part number on them either. the rod bolts are carrillo so i assumed they were carrillo rods but they dont look like the ones i find on carrillos site. any help would be greatly appreciated http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...1-13143412.jpg |
That's hard to tell. If there are no markings on them chances are they are either cheap ebay rods or really expensive custom rods. |
Yeah, gonna be hard to tell without a marking, they look kinda like the lunati pro billet rods, but there are knock offs on those too. |
Well, they are not ours, if that helps! Looks like the mating faces have been worked a bit, for clearance. Ours are already stroker ground. -Adam @ Callies |

I ran into this on my callies crank also,,the number beside the callies name was just a forging no. not the part no. there was a number on the front side of the first crank throw that I used with callies to ID my crank had to pull the front cover off to see it though. it was engraved on the face of the throw. |
i just did some digging from where i got the crank from and found out it is a magnum. ok so i figured that out. still wondering about the stuff in the first post. |
ok i found out what the stuff in the first pic is. lunati crank, lentz rods and wiseco pistons |
Cool, we do engrave out cranks on the first counterweight. the first five digits are the serial number, and the second is the stroke. ^^^ I was going to say, that's either a DragonSlayer or Magnum! The 389 is a forging number, nothing to do with the Models we produce |
thanks for the info. that is good to know |
