stock 243's?

i just bought an ms3 cam kit, springs pushrods, ls6 ported oil pump, powerbond ud pulley, timing chain, etc. Now I am going to get ctsv lifters and want to know how 243 heads would work over the 241's. Can I get a stock set and throw them on? how much better will they flow with my setup? If I pull the heads to swap lifters, I don't want to put stock heads back on after I do all that work, I am on a budget so that is why I was thinking of picking up a set of good 243 heads, have them gone over and my springs installed, then set on the car. Is it worth the upgrade.

more air flow = more hp its worth the upgrade if your gonna take advantage on the amount of airflow with a bigger cam down the road. + your bumping up the compression from 10:1 TO 10.5:1 which will give u alittle more power

I ordered cam kit with the 7.400 standard pushrod length, If I swap the heads, will that be changed or is that going to stay the same. And also can the stock ls1 rockers be used in the ls6 heads?

Unmilled with stock gasket, yes same as 241s. Unless they are original LS6 243s with hollow valves. Those have longer valves.

Definitely go with the 243s. That cam is going to want to breathe, and they flow more cfm then a 241 head. You will get a small bump in compression also.

or should i just save up and spend the extra cash and get the 5.3 heads from tsp. the reason i didnt get those now with the kit was because i picked up a wet kit which used up a good chunk of cash, should i just get the 5.3 heads with my tax return? see guys running ms3 with tsp 5.3 heads and putting down 440-450. I assume i would put down maybe 420 with the stock 243's

I put down 422 with stock 706s a torquer 2 and a fast intake/tb
