if you dont already have aftermarket pushrods then you def. need them.... comp chromolly ones go for around $125.....
your not really giving enough info for a good reccomendation on anything....
spring type is dependent on how much lift you have...

i like factory rockers with the bearing upgrade myself.....

I am quite sure the push rods and rockers are are oem stock parts....the heads have been rebuilt.

The push rod that was bent was the very last one on the drivers side....

Also do the valve springs need to be replaced if i do upgraded rockers and push rods.....

If the only thing damaged was the pushrod, just replace that one. If you are worried about it happening again, buy hardened pushrods and call it a day. Rockers and springs don't need to be touched.

Do yourself a favor and get hardened pushrods. They're cheap at around $100-125 for a set. Stock LS1 springs are weak and not good to have with a higher then stock lift cam, so good idea to replace to avoid valvefloat. If you're looking into replacing the stock rocker arms, look into upgrading the stock trunions with the Comp Cams rocker arm trunion upgrade, very good upgrade and only $130-140. And easy to do yourself, I just did mine a couple weeks ago, EASY.

So I'm understanding.....
Hardened pushrods a must.....

R6: I am going to do the upgrade for the rockers.....

Then once I have the extra 200 or so I can do the valve springs.....
I'm thinking it will be a month or so till I can afford the valve springs...

Thanks guys for the help!!

quick run down....

I bought the car modded:

My list of mods include

Flat top pistons( unkown brand off hand) the crank was polished and balanced

Head were "mildly" ported and polished and rebuilt using stock pushrods and springs along with rockers
Push rod casting number is rp-3349.....so I think this is stock

Comp cam was added either a 332/336 or 332/334.....don't have the paperwork for the cam....
The car was being built to handle a hefty dose of nitros.....

So my goals are to make the heads hold up to the random 100-150 shot

Hardened pushrods...the upgrade for my stock rockers....then 918 beehive? Comp cam springs later

The 921 springs are very good and would be much better over the 918's but are quite expensive. Another good choice would be PRC .650 lift dual spring kit and much cheaper then the 921's.
I have the PRC .675 lift dual springs for my 231/234 .643/.598 cam.
