Cam won't come out! help!

Cam won't come out! help! My problem is with the cam visible and the cam gear off, I can't get the cam to rotate. I need to rotate the cam so I can move the lifters out of the way.
At first I thought my comp918 springs were putting too much down pressure on the lifters (stock valvetrain geometry, btw) but the lifters should be deflated with the engine off so I don't know what's going on
