Any scoring in the cylinders? Spark plugs look ok?

fireburr 09-05-2011 09:40 PM

All spark plugs look fine and there is no scoring at all.

My only thought would be a failed lifter if you have already checked pcv system.

Thats what I'm thinking, ls7 lifters already on the way.

I'm curious....if she made that good of "vacuum" then why did he get rid of her?

Mine was useless.....she couldnt cook, clean or "make good vacuum"...seems like she forgot how to do anything...as soon as she got married. But then i heard it all came right back to memory...as soon as the judge finalized the prison release...uhhh i mean divorce! :pimp:

Sounds to me like the PCV valve is stuck open, and that's the motor sucking air through the PCV tubes. Does the idle change at all when you pop the oil fill cap off?

My idle does change when I uncap the oil fill cap. I broke off the original PCV tube that tees on the back of the intake manifold so I recreated it using 3/8 PCV Hose I teed a hose that goes to the passenger rear valve cover and the rest of the hose all the way to the front to the lower passenger side port on the throttle body. I can hear a sharp vacuum sound sort of like a whistle. What can it be?
