I have a few other bolts ons on mine (heads, exhaust, intake, TB, CAI). It put down a best of 431.31 on a Dynojet in some good cool air, I expect during the hot summer days with high humidity I lose some of that.

Idle is choppy but I like that sound, the car does great in real world driving conditions. I have a good tune so I don't have problems with bucking or surge or idle hang. All accessories (a/c, alternator, etc.) work fine. With the mods as listed I also got 27mpg on a road trip to Texas in April.

Thanks for the response,
Those are good numbers, what heads do you have?

Heads are PRC 2.5.5's. Fowler Racing did some extra work on them and also did the porting/matching on the intake.

Good luck on the build !

I'm leaning towards the TSP 233 239 on a 112 LSA. From the reviews it seems like it's very streetable, makes great power and has a nice power band. Any others who have this cam, how do you like it?

update:

I found a guy selling his new custom cam specd by Patrick G with the following specs:
234/234 .601/.601 114+4 on EPS lobes (Comp Cam).

Would this need any flycutting or any modifications to anything?

It's a little bigger than what I have now but that's not an issue if it will fit with no problems.

Opinions?

Great so I shouldn't worry about fitment or clearance issues? Definitely don't want to flycut or anything like that.
Sorry for being redundant, just want to be 100% sure before I pull the trigger.

Thanks again

If you are not milling the heads crazy amounts or anything of that nature it should clear no problem. You should double check though before you do final installation, as a last fail-safe.

yup no milling on the heads, just stock LS6 heads.
How do I go about double checking? Just turn the engine by hand and see if it gets stuck?

No, you would clay the top of the piston, then test fit the heads with an old (compressed) gasket, lightly bolted down. Install your correct valvetrain and spin everything over. Remove the head and measure the thinnest part of the clay where the valve got close to the piston. That's your PTV clearance.

That makes sense, thanks for the help!
Hopefully it clears no problem and I don't have any issues.

I had the V2 in my last 04 a4 GTO and it put down 409 rwhp with stock bottem end and heads. Full bolt ons other than that.
