LS3/L92 heads or "as cast" 220 Trick Flows?
I spun a rod bearing on my stock bottom end/head LS1 after a 6.37@108mph pass. So I'm going to build either a LQ9 370 or 408 stroker and I am going to be spraying around a 300-350 shot to it. I am torn between which heads I should use, the L92's or 220 trick flows. I will more than likely be using a Vic jr intake for either style head and I will spec a cam around which ever head I go with. I am trying to stay on as much of a budget as I can and want the best bang for the buck. I know L92's are cheaper, but you have to buy offset rockers and you dont need to with the trick flows. Which heads do you guys recommend going with, L92's or "as cast" 220 Trick Flows?

trickflows with out a doubt, more midrange power and your going to need the thick deck if you plan on big nitrous.

I've seen great results from the TFS 220's on LS1's but never seen one on a 4" or bigger bore engine. Do you guys think the 220's will be to small? As far as the midrange torque, I don't street drive the car hardly and I have a decent size stall so while going down the track the rpm's are always up in the powerband.

I think that for the price you will be paying for a set of TFS 220 and the roller rocker that you will be buying to run them, you better get an L92/LS3 ported heads which will be a better choice for your application as you won't do much street driving as you said.
