Default I know it is asked alot but I need some fine tune help

I have a LQ9 which is basically an iron LS2. I have a set of AFR 225s that will top this short block in the car with a Fast 102 both prepped by Mamo. The intake will have a direct port on it and will probably have no more than 250 put to this motor. While having the bottom assembled should I have the ring gas opened a little to have room for movement under the higher cylinder pressures? The motor will not be DD, it will basically be used to get the bugs worked out of the chassis and it's setup and get some enjoyment out of it. Ultimately I will build a 414+ci motor and then toss a kit on it. For now I need some info on a LQ9, AFR 72cc 225 heads, FAST 102/102, rod bolts and whatever other little stuff like working the rings on the bottom end. Headers are 1 3/4 SW stuff with a 3" catback. My question is what about the cam, I am thinking something mid 230s low 240s and mid 240s low 250. I just need to know more about the AFR heads and what they like from cams. It's a 27" tire, 3.73 gears, T56 and will be a hot rod/race car but will have heat ac power steering and all that. I will get a cam from Pat G but first I wanted to kind of get some feedback of what the range should be

An LQ9 is an LQ9, not anything else.

As far as your ring question, I'd say your engine builder should be telling you what they suggest OR they shouldn't be assembling your engine. If you plan on doing the shortblock assembly, I'd say pay a little extra and have someone experienced take care of the technical stuff for you like ring gaps and bearing clearances etc.....I mean that's why they are experienced professionals ya know.

Primary ring gap should be @ .026 and secondary gap @ .028
The AFR heads are such good flowing pieces I'd suggest a cam around
234/242 @ .050 which would make decent power NA and on the spray.
