HELP. need a means to control rev limit through spark and not fuel

Hello.

im drifting with my a ls1 motor in a 240sx.

Im bouncing off the rev limiter at times and i need a way to cut spark instead of the OEM fuel cut which can lead to lean conditions.

thank you very much i have used the search bottom and could not find anything.

Get a MSD rev control.

You could just work your spark table to start pulling back
spark, hard, above your desired RPM. But that stands a
good chance of loading your exhaust with unburnt air /
fuel. In concert with the regular fuel-cut though, the spark
could be punked enough to ensure no spark knock. As long
as you are below the diesel limit anyway.

Yes and if for whatever reason You're spark is cut back but not the fuel You're exhaust will fill with fuel/air and then when spark restores there will be an explosion in You're exhaust that often is powerful enough to blow the muffler/mufflers open or possibly blow part of the exhaust off completely .

good point with blowing the exhaust off :) but better exhaust system blowing up than the motor. Thank you guys so much for the information.

I'll give this box thing a try

heres a quick video of her in action.

sorry its so dark you gotta maximize the screen to view it better

720p also works good

1 more quick questions. that link pulls up 3 systems, the 2 step, 3 step and the ls series 2 step launch control.

The one i need to get is the LS series 2 step launch control correct ? :) thank you guys so much, your the best. :)

The 2 step launch control will give you a clutch in/trans brake setting and a high limit setting. If your drifting, you obviously won't use the launch control, but the high limit will be what you need.

i would rather use the cheaper 89$ 3 step box but i dont know if its compatible with the ls style individual coils. Thats the only issue. If those work i would be happy with one of those due to more adjust ability.
