Default 7.4 or7.35 pushrods?

what is the difference. besides the length. what other modifications to the valvetrain do I need to make to make the 7.35's fit.

7.35's are generally use with heads that have been milled upwards of .030

they may be a little loose.

stock pushrods are 7.38" i believe, and almost all aftermarket cams have a slightly smaller base circle that stock, which means you need a slightly longer pushrod, hence most people run a 7.4" because the hydrolic lifters can take the extra pressure.

but milling the heads means you need a shorter pushrod which is why people running heads milled .030+ run 7.35's

so basically, aftermarket cam and stock heads, run 7.4

actually..with milled heads (.030") and aftermarket cam it will still be a 7.4" PR...most cams are .030" smaller on the base circle radius..so they would cancel each other out
