Default ARP head studs...did you use teflon sealer.

Did you use teflon sealer for the threads going into the block? If so, is this required?

No, not required, the bolt holes do not protrude into water like most other engines.

They are just blind holes for the head bolts. Using Teflon sealer would just be a waste of time.

I disagree... If ARP says to use nothing on their bolts, use nothing on the bolts. The torque/tension relationship of a bolt is critical and if you apply teflon sealant or moly especially (one of the highest lubricity lubricants) the torque/tension relationship will change dramatically. You may be tightening to the recommended torque, but you will be over tensioning the bolt.

The result of this will either be a higher than recommended bolt tension (hopefully) or stripped threads in the block (not good)

You may notice that the standard GM bolts have a plating on them. I am guessing that this is not only to provide corrosion resistance, but to also lubricate as the threads are being assembled in give the correct K factor for the GM recommended torque setting.
