Default Whadya'll think about this head/cam combo

We've got a FRC 6-speed 99' C5 here with vararam intake, slp loudmouth catback, and a NX 150shot, heres the cam/head combo were gonna try out.
Absolutespeed's Stage 2 5.3L heads (5.3's cause they can optimize the comp ratio without sacraficing P/V clearance)

and

Cmotorsports.com custom comp cam grind SS-230XH cam
230/234 duration, .592"/.598", 114lsa

My questions are if I dont have them mill the Stg. 2's any will I be ok on P/V clearance, and do you think this is a good cam choice? I want it to breathe as close to a big cam like the t-rex or so without getting to crazy, needs to be easily driveable. Now I am getting it completely dynotuned because I heard that makes a big difference on driving manners. So what kind of power do you think I could expect? Is this a good combo? Any other parts I should add to help out? Thanks in advance

Should work well. Any advance in the cam? Might want to ground a couple od degrees in to keep your peak below 6500rpm.

Should make good power and have pretty good driveability

YOu can go with a much bigger cam then that and still be safe on PV clearance. Personally since you have a manual car i'd go with at most(numerically) a 112lsa and +2 advanced into the cam or if you want to move the powerband down a lil more go with +4 advance ground in. You are correct to say that dynotuning will help a lot, you will be able to drive it fine with the stock tuning and the TB drilled since your an M6. Just my .02
