218/229 .560/.560 on 113 with 1.85 rockers? I have Comp 918 springs. Do you think .590 lift is pushing it? These springs are supposed to be good to .625. |
Well are those lift numbers with 1.85 rockers?? If not the lift will turn out to be .609. So if those springs are good to that that lift you should be fine. |
You should be fine. If you haven't accounted for the additional ratio, in my opinion a .609" lift is pushing the envelope with 918s. It looks like you've accounted for it, though. a 218/.560" lobe would have a pretty wicked ramp. |
As it says in the subject. The cam makes .560 lift w/ 1.7 rockers. With the 1.85 it's going to put me about .590. :) (.580 was a typo). |
Try the math again, I'm pretty sure it is .609" lift with the 1.85RR. You're lifting it up there quite a bit. :) |
Who was the cam grinder? |
Lingenfelter sells it. I'm sure they don't grind 'em. I was told the 1.85 rockers would had .030 to the lift? |
Nope, it is a ratio. (.560" * 1.85)/1.7=.609" |
Ouch. Now I know why these things are junk. :) So, should I be ok with this rockers and .609 lift? Should I dump the rockers and get shaft mounted 1.7s? |
I would just go back to the stock rockers. They work very well for 99.999% of applications. |
Ouch. Now I know why these things are junk. |
