I always go 40-60-85 on my arp studs on the larger ones and 22 ft lbs on the small ones up top

ARP instructions show 80ftlbs for 7/16" studs / 25 ft lbs for the small ones.

Slowing ramping up the torque is so you dont warp the head.

says go to 80 ft lbs using arp lube.. i 99% of the time use engine oil so i go to 85ft lbs and the small ones i take to 22 ft lbs.... has worked for me with 4-5 different rebuilds so far

usually whatever im gonna use in the engine because thats whats laying around... but its usually 5w-30

I'll add to this thread the torque for BOLTS

P/N 134-3609 Gen III/LS (2003 & earlier)

Using ARP Ultra-torque lube, manufacturers sequence, and three equal steps:
M11 = 75ftlb
M8 = 25ftlb

I'm sure its on here in a thousand places, but what's one more?
