just got a 6.0l dont know what brand of pistons they are??

Default just got a 6.0l dont know what brand of pistons they are??

i got this 6.0l of a 05 chevy but dont know what brands of pistons are..i do know about stock dished and flat top but this are dished with valve relief pistons anyone know what brand there are thanks in advance..

Try looking up inside around the wristpin area from the bottom of the piston...might have s name or part number there?

That looks like a stock LQ4 piston that has been fly cut

Thoes are stock pistons used in Vvt engines. That's why there is valve reliefs cut on the opposite side because they are not side specific, just direction specific.

OP says it is 05 6.0L , I thought VVT did not appear til GEN IV . Please enlighten us.

That I couldn't tell you. But if you look around, they are the only pistons you will find with valve reliefs on both sides. Unless they are an aftermarket piston for a 4 inch bore that the part numbers have replaced each other, I couldn't tell you.

I have not seen a LY6 piston but I would like to see one to see if they are the same. I have opened up a 2006 LQ4s one had the dish and one had the valve reliefs hope this helps.
