Maybe Nick Y will chime in on this post. He's running the 231/237 in a 2003 A4 vette. He had some initial surging troubles, but cartek got the tune right on it. If you have a competent tuner that will work with you on it, I say go for it. I hope you have a 3800 or larger stall too!

I'll let you know once i get mine started and tuned should be fine as long as you have a decent sized converter.

I have a 224 224 581 581 XER in mine. Perfect street manner cam. I don't know about the 231 237 first hand but there are a few in a4 cars i know of. I guess its all about a proper tune and a 4000 plus convertor to make it streetable.

For streetability, the 231/237 will work fine with your 3200 stall torque converter, but the car will run much quicker with a higher stall speed. If you are wanting a cam that will work well with your 3200 stall speed torque converter, then I'd recommend our 224R camshaft (224/224, .581"/.581", 112 or 114 LSA). I picked up 40 RWHP with this camshaft and stock heads in my '02 SS.

Feel free to call or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com if you have any other questions. I'll be glad to help you select the right setup that will work well for your needs.

I have their TSP228R and love it. I had alittle surging when cold started. No problem driving the car around. The car also runs good at the track. But I would go bigger if I had plans on a bigger converter. Good luck..

i have been im indy and gave him my thoughts, i think that he'll need a bigger stall for sure. i cant stress it enought that the major part of the puzzle is a killer tune!!

to feel the cam you need stall!!!

Don't rule out the 231.231 camshaft also, it offers a middle between the 224 camshaft & the 231.237 cam
