Default valve seals cause power loss?

Ok so all my valve seals are pushed up to the valve retainer's. Would this cause low dyno numbers or just cause the excessive oil burn? I will upload a pic in a second.

well if they are pushed up that high and oil is getting into the combustion chamber because of that then yes you will lose horsepower because your fuel is being oiled down

Yeah the pistons and heads where pretty coated in carbon. Its a 402 ls2 with a 224 cam fast 102 102 tb 9:3 compression kooks 1 7/8 headers ls6 heads with bigger valves and it only made 360 hp at the wheels. That number seems low even with the low comp pistons I am just wondering if that could have scrubbed that much power?

I am thinking when they did all the head work they never replaced them and that's what caused them to ride up like that.

I'd be guessing the inner spring is pulling them up

Yep I bet they didn't change to the smaller valve for the smaller inner spring like they were suposed to.

So there is a smaller seal that needs to be installed with dual valve springs? I have never heard of this.

Yeah I am pretty sure they used regular ls6 seals.

Mine did the same thing. You have to use the blue valve seals. How much hp loss are we talking with all of them pushed up?
