Btw i think there are much much much better cams out there for you. For max performance you need to shift at 7k with the ms4 cam. Your auto tranny will last a couple weeks if your lucky. Plus the 3500 stall is a little small for the ms4 cam. A 4k stall is really needed

Kinda over kill IMO, Unless you have a larger intake to help with flow also a good set of headers, and yes it's recomended 3800+ stall. And some .675 springs.

If all you care about is upper RPM power and don't mind spinning your motor to 7K plus, then go for it. Every person is going to have a preference in regards to where they want the power-band. I would get a custom ground cam, based on your mods and goals. To me, that is always the way to go.

Motor wont last with ms4 and 100 shot plain and simple it just not going to work. Get smart and get a different cam you dont have to spin to 7k. You're doing things all wrong. I'll gurantee my car with my little 224r cam will outrun your car with the ms4. Its about matching your parts. You have a 3500 stall. Put a 228r cam in it you can shift the car at 6500 rpm and your engine and tranny will live. With any cam valvesprings are an absalute must. If you put that ms4 on anything other than a .675 dual spring the valvetrain won't last.

Agreed, that cam does like to spin, with stock heads on the engine dyno and chassis dyno, typically the powerband on the MS4 is from 2300-6800rpm with it peaking at 6400rpm. We recommend at least a 3500rpm converter with that camshaft, but larger converters will put that camshaft into the higher part of its powerband. Although you can run the .650 dual spring without issue, the .675 would be my recommendation due to higher pressures to give the more aggressive lobe of the MS4.

i loved my ms4 when it was in my stock cube motor, but i beat the **** outta it. it does like rpm. i think my rev limiter was set at 7200 and i shifted it right past 7k. now the same cam is in my 383 and it is more docile than before but it still made power up to 7k.

Lol why ask what people think if your gonna throw the big bitch in and go. Like said before though that cam might be to big and you could have valves hitting your pistons. Especially at high rpm. What springs have you decided to go with? Is your tranny built? Are you going to check ptv clearance?

Bigger is not better when it comes to cams. An MS4 with stock heads, 3500 stall, and 3.23s is not going to make for an ideal setup. I don't see an intake in your sig... an MS4 with an LS1 intake is going to be a DOG.

you need a plan before pulling the trigger on either one of them. know what you want to do with the cars. weekend car, dd, drag. then go from there.
