5.3l ls6 cam/springs which valve seal/seat?
 

i have a 2001 5.3l that i am installing a 05 ls6 cam and ls6 springs. when i pulled out the valve seal and seats to replace the springs i noticed that the vavle seals i have in the motor now are a one piece design and the new vavle seals that i purchased from GM are just a valve seal and does not have the little seat at the bottom of the seal. Can i just press the seal out and replace it into the stock seat or do i need to purchase the one piece seal/seat combo? thanks for the help in advance.:(

I think you would need to buy the correct ones. I have them for $16 shipped if that helps at all.

They got them at autozone... Get the for a 2005 silverado 5.3 high out motor...

I was kinda curious where You found the 05 LS6 cam at ?,,,,,,,,,Lol

I ordered it from a dealer somewhere. I googled the part number and found the cheapest one. It was 330 shipped i think. Not sure what year exactly it was ot as the 02+ cam. Maybe its not an 05. Do they not make an 05?
