6.0L truck heads on an LS1
I have almost completed my swap of an '01 LS1 into a 1972 Datsun 240Z. The whole car is made up of Chevy, Nissan and Infiniti odds and ends. Car will weigh in at ~ 2600lbs. Tires are from a Viper, wheels from a Cobra, LS1 and T56 have 10K on them out of a WS6. photos.yahoo.com/maichor75104
Here is the dilemma. I picked up some 6.0L heads with the idea of doing forced induction. I searched and found mention of this but, how many of you are running 6.0L heads and what has been your experience?
I don't know if I will go with the forced induction until I have driven the car as is for a while. So, should I hold on to the heads or sell them?

I am running a set of ported 6.0 heads, cut to around 69cc's with 2.02/1.57 valves that worked with the stock seats. I am running GM MLS 6.0 head gaskets. I have a 3.905 bore LS6 block.
I make 746rwhp.

Wow that is a lot off power.
The 6.0 heads will work great. If you dont deck them you will as you know get less compretion but it is a bitch to pull the heads and put new ones on if you want to lower you compretion. If you are forsure that you are going to do forced induction then i would put the heads on. If you are not to sure then sell them and get what ever heads you want.

Mine got decked to clean them up since I am running 15-20 psi of boost thru them.
My heads are very average, they flow 300/220 which is what some folks would call stage I heads.
I am currently seeing 17 lbs of boost.

Wow, good info guys. 17 lbs. of boost, yummy! I don't know if I will be able to put that power to the ground. So, what is a fair price to sell them for?
