Default Since I have the heads off, is it worth it to?

Do a little home porting of the heads.

I'm having the short block rebuilt due to a little Nitrous problem. I'm doing a stock rebuild with forged Diamond pistons.

I was thinking of removing the rocker arm boss that protrudes into the intake port and removing any casting flashes in the bowl area.

Also, I might do a little work on the exhaust port. I'd match up the exhaust gasket and remove excess material.

I've only got enough money for the stock rebuilds. So don't tell me to just buy a set of aftermarket kids.

Is it worth it or not? If I picked up 5rwhp I'd be happy.

If you know what you're doing. Yes. Otherwise, you'll do more harm than good.

I know that I'd be removing the rocker boss and also casting flashes. How complicated is that. I'm not changing the profile.

i would blend the seats with the bowl(that's one of the big restrictions to proper air flow) and just remove the casting flash in the ports. get a good multi angle valve job with a 30 degree back cut on the valves.just my .02
