Default What kind of gains can I expect with 5.3 heads.

I was at 394rwhp with my cam, headers, lid, and SSRA. I'm doing a stock short block rebuild with Diamond forged pistons. I'm buying some stage 1 ported 5.3 heads, with no combustion chamber work. I'm getting a good deal on these that's why at the last minute I'm going to get some heads since the motor has been pulled. Will I gain much? How much will my compression go up.

fist off awsome numbers.....allmost 400 with just a cam!

im no expert but i think youll see a 10.8:1 or 11:1 CR
if i were you i would get stage 2 heads with bigger valves dual springs etc......might as welll while you have a chance. but at least get them polished etc.....
you will make alot more power with stage 2 porting and valves etc!!!!!!
but with what your getting id guess 420-430 rwhp.

I'd be happy with 420-430. I can't afford stage 2 right now and I'm getting sick of spending money on this car. For awhile that is.
