Default Help getting over 500rwhp, Stock Cubes

Although I'm very happy with my current setup, I'm considering trying to get over that magical 500rwhp number. I'll list my current setup and what I believe could help get me there, but I'm also looking for professional outside opinions. Feel free to speak your mind.

Current:
Stock LS6 shortblock
T56/10 bolt/3.42
Trick Flow 215's @ 59cc's
11.5:1 static
236/242 .615 .615 111 LSA
FAST 90/90
Lid
Stock MAF
1 3/4 Pacesetters
Pacesetter Y
Cutout
42 lb injectors

Dynoed 465/420

I'm thinking I can tweak the intake and exhaust setup to achieve my goal. Step up to a FAST 102/102. Should I go with a larger MAF or ditch it and go SD? 1 7/8 Kooks/ARH/etc as well as a Y with a Flowmaster merge. True Duals are out of the question.

Help a brother out!!

Allen

It will help, but getting another 35rwhp through exhaust/intake will be difficult given your current set up

I agree, as great as that setup would be I would think another 35 hp might be asking a tad too much. Who knows though...only one way to find out I guess lol

I agree about that 500hp number. I'm liking that goal myself. So much muscle right out of the box these days and is a way to stay relevant and competitive. I'm thinking get as close to 500rwhp (that my set up allows) in 2013, and maybe NOS next year to achieve it.

An electric water pump and underdrive pulley should help if you don't have it already.

I wouldnt be chasing numbers. Your car could actually dyno lower on a different day. All you really need is a happy dyno jet.

I'm not a newb, I understand how a dyno works. I presented a goal, and I would appreciate input and suggestions on how to achieve said goal. Thank you for your opinion though.

P/P Fast 102/102
UD pulley
1 7/8 headers
Bigger lid

With an aggressive tune, you'll get close. Add NOS and you're there.

1 7/8 ARH or Kooks headers, better flowing merge or x pipe, lighter ls3 valves, UDP, ported fast 90/92 (might actually loose hp with the 102) EWP, AC delete, and you should be close

your headers and merge are your first main restrictions, free those up and go from there. Good numbers regardless.

Why do you think I may lose power with a 102?

I touched 500/435 with my C5 & a smaller cam. The detail to get there is expensive, very small gains for big dollars.

If your Fast 90/90 is not ported then the 102 ported & a TB is worth some good power. You've have very nice heads, is there any worth while gains touching up the heads?

Then EWP, UD & exhaust. The C5 has excellent header, mid section & cat back options.

Good fun to chase them few ponies!
