Default Using oem l92 valves to fly cut for 2.00 1.55s?

In my head this seams like a plausible valve to use in order to attain the proper radial valve clearance... they measure 2.16 1.59.. These should be fine using the sand paper method to flycut correct?

Too big, try a 2.05 or 2.08 at max

I thought you needed .05 clearence? 2.10 would be minimum then?

Maybe I'm understanding you wrong.
You want to flycut stock pistons?
What size pistons?
What valves will you be using once motor back together?

Yes stock pistons. Stock sized valves. I read that the clearance to shoot for was .05 so is that .025 per side or .05 per side equaling a total of .10?

Do not complicate things. 2.00 intake (use 2.04 or 2.05 valve). You can use 2.08 as well but it is getting big.

It's a valid question. What you're suggesting is that he runs .020" radial when most engine builders recommend at least .050" to be safe. I'm not saying it won't work, but it's pretty damn tight.

I'm curious, have you cut a 2.04" diameter relief for a 2" valve and seen the piston after it was run?

Yes. that is exactly what I've done before. I did it el cheepo way using 2.04 valve and stick on sand paper. After initial cuts, you do once over with finer grid to deburr and remove any edges that can constitute a hot spot.
See on a 346 piston, bigger than a 2.05 like (2.08) will work as well but the edge of the eyebrow on intake gets very close to ringland which weakens it. So for this reason, IMO 2.05 is best but 2.04 will work as well perfectly.
