Lifters/Tray's I got LS7 lifters but no trays. Do I need some or can I just run with the stock ones? Current H/C in sig. |
Get some LS2 trays, they are cheap at the dealer. |
It's cheaper to replace them now while you're at it. It would be much pricier to replace them later on; along with new lifters, a cam, front cover, timing gear, timing chain, gaskets and the possibility of having to remove the engine to clean out all the metal shavings and chunks of lifter our of the oil pan. All because the one lifter happened to turn 90 degrees in it's bore due to weak lifter trays. Ask me how I know. |
