Are Comp Cams Trunions Worth it?

I've got roughly 5k miles on mine now, and that's with a .631 lift cam, LS7 lifters and .047 preload.
I'm a bit nervous now... Hell, Comp didn't even put the BOLTS in the box for my dual spring compressor. Makes me wonder what the hell happened to their QA/QC.
Maybe there's a reason Ed has switched to Lunati for his cams for the most part.

I agree. That's an insane amount to pay for a "bushing." Sorry. It's the truth. 400 bucks for bushings?

Keep your open spring pressures below 410# and the Yella Terras should work great, or there's always the platinum series. Lunati is now releasing a newly redesigned LS roller rocker as well.

The stockers are also very light compared to most roller rockers out there.
If Comp made some Ultra Pro Mags in 1.7 ratio like they do for the SBC's thats what I would go with, but they do not make them.

With bronze guides they become more necessary. The stockers work but they're still not ideal for high lifts, powdered guides or not. They may not fail, but that extra friction is costing you power. May not matter as much for some but when you're at the point that you're considering roller rockers, chances are you care about that.
The Yella Terra ultralite 1.7's, Rev 3. The most recent failure threads I've been able to find are almost 2 years old. I'll have to dig to find the thread where they talk about what was causing the problems, as well as what changes were made. A tooling error during the machining process of a batch of them led to improperly machined pushrod cups, which was causing the failures.

Unless you deform the bores on the old rockers or they creep over time, I don't see how installing them in old arms could make a difference. It is, afterall, what they're designed for. If the bores are deformed, the problem would likely show up before you upgraded them, and I wouldn't expect creep to have any significant effect because its a dynamic load with a low operating temperature (relatively speaking).
I would think improper installation or some manufacturing defect to be much more likely scenarios, with the former of the two taking the cake considering how many people do the installs themselves.
