zr1 or lsa cam in 4.8 I have a question to ask you guys.i am really entertaining the tought of using a ls9 or zr1 cam as cam of choice for my boosted 4.8 engine that i plan on having assembled for
I know that the lsa(zr1)cam is a gen 5 motor so I wondering if it could be used in a gen 3 block in this case my 4.8.

You can put the zr1 cam in gen 3 motors, but have to get the new timing cover, chain, and relocate the timing sensor as far as I know. For the cost of the cam and new parts you could just buy a aftermarket boost cam and be done with it
