Default NEW! Rapid Motorsports True LS6 Head

We just finished up our first set of LS6 heads. We designed these heads around larger camshafts. Here are the specs and some photos. Flow numbers are in CFM at 28" on a 3.90 bore.

0.200 151
0.300 202
0.400 260
0.500 302
0.600 317
0.650 330

Intake port Volume is 228 cc. We are usind Ferrea 2.055/1.60 valves with Crane Dual Springs, Ti retainers and seats. New seals and locks. These Heads are CNC cut then hand polished.

We will have dyno numbers and pricing very soon.

The porting looks nice and smooth. Do you have any exhaust side numbers for them also? Exhaust port volume?

What kind of flow bench are you using? and what do they flow through an ls6 intake?

SF600. No Intake. We put a FAST intake on and lost 34 CFM @ 0.650! We are working to improve that now with some port work on the intake. We did not flow with an LS6 intake.

These heads will be part of a "top end" package for serious racers. The package will include the heads, cam, pushrods, Crane Rockers and port matched FAST 90mm intake/throttle body.

All of this is info is preliminary. Once the dyno proves that the package works well, I will list it for sale on the web site.

Those look nice..... any possibility for those without all the other goodies in case we would like to use them for something like a stroker engine without the fast intake, or already have one maybe.

Just wanted to bring everyone up to date on the dyno results of these heads using our "Dominator" cam.

502 rwhp / 437 rwtq. Post in the dyno section.

I bought a set of 2700mile LS6 heads off a 2003 Z06, did my own porting and got Bob Bruneau Machine shop to open up and cut the valve seats for 2.02/1.575 Manley valves. Here are some pics of the intake and exhaust (but most of the work was in the bowl area...no pics unfortunately). I am VERY happy with the final result and the cost was comparatively low.
