Default Lets try this again...new H/C/I setup *UPDATE* Dyno numbers

short back story, installed h/c/i last year in my car tfs 215s and 247/251 cam (cr 11.2:1) got it tuned wasnt impressed w/ the results(thinking cam was too big and bleeding off compression) so had my buddy run it at the track to see what it would do, (cam only i went 10.8 @ 127) the best pass my buddy made was a 11.4 @ 119, so i knew something was wrong. Took it to my buddy to make a few changes. once the engine was apart we found 3 problems. 3 bent valves about 10 thousandths, Comp Ultra gold roller rockers anodizing flaking off and all just about seized up and lastly was a burnt spark plug wire that i didnt see due to having a heat shield covering it...anyway the changes are

Pat G cam 243/247 HUC lobes
3 new valves
new ultra gold roller rockers
Comp short travel lifters
.045 cometic gasket (now 12.0:1 cr)
and new wire obviously
comp double roller timing chain

the heads were cleaned and are milled to 57cc

it was fired up today on the previous tune and already sounds healthier and stronger then before

heading to dyno on saturday and possibly the track on sunday

4.56s and a spool will be going in within a week or so

-brandon

That's why Dyno numbers mean JACK ****. Trap speed is the ONLY way to truely tell what kind of power you're making. Good luck OP. She should fly for you.

Ha I knew there was something up with your motor when we were exchanging PMs. No way a cam is going to kill you by 8 MPH.

I am surprised the driveability didn't suck with the burnt wire though and cause you to poke around that area. How did it bend valves? Did you have no PTV?

Glad it is running better now though.

I wish I had several hundred pounds of weight reduction. If I did I'd have a great trap speed. My car is no where near the OP's level.
