Default Trickflow heads milled for compression and possible a ms3 cam

So my new idea now is to get a set of trickflow 215cc heads for my ls1 with stock bore and bottom end. I also wanted to bump up the compression and get the heads milled.030 or so.

I was thinking abut going with a ms3 cam. Not sure if ill need to fly cut yet, but it isn't a problem.

So I'm wondering if anyone has done something like this and how it worked out. Or if there is a better way to go about doing this.

I am also wondering if i will still be good with 93 octane fuel and if the springs that come with the heads will handle a cam like that well. Or if anyone has a suggestion for a better cam for this setup so go ahead and throw me some ideas of how to improve! It is not set in stone, i just have a lot of ideas floating through my head of what to do.

Also, is there anything i may be unaware of that i am getting into with this? Like will i need different injectors, lifters, rockers, etc.

Thanks guys!

Edit: I am looking to get 11.5 to 12 compression. Would these be good heads to do this setup with or would i be better off with a different set of heads?

I have been doing a lot of reading since i posted this haha. This is all new stuff to me.
To me now it seems like there is no point spending the money on the TFS heads. The ported 243s have just about the same flow rate. Or i could even keep the 241s i have now and just mill them down and port them and i should be close to the same numbers right?

I'm running very worked over 241s on my 408 stroker spinning 8,000 rpms with no problem. Once ported the stock casting can all flow and make about the same HP. On a stock cube ls1 if going with aftermarket casting is stay at or around 205cc, 215s might be a hair big and lazy down low to mid rpms.

AI has a very good high compression ported 241 program that performs nice.

I honestly dont want to put the money into the 241s. I was thinking afr 205s or maybe P and P 243s. Which would be better for getting my CR up?

I have the same setup. Tfs 215 heads milled with ms3 camshaft. You will need to flycut. I run stock ratio rockers. It runs on 93 octane just fine. Not sure on my springs. The heads are from tea.

How do you like it? What kind of power does it have low range and high rage. And what is your compression at?

It's been awhile but I recall my compression being 11.5. Low end power is good. High end is definitely a screamer. I don't know why people say the low end is so soft it's not that bad. I'm also running 4.10 gears and yank ss4000.

Your gonna need bigger injectors if you get those nice heads....I'd pick up some ls7 lifters and look into the trunion upgrade for the rockers. I'd get the prc .650 springs from tsp for that cam. Not sure what your other mods are but I would get a 4000 converter if auto and some 4.10s if m6.

Planning on a 4000 stall and already have ls7 lifters. I was going to stick with stock heads. I'm just worried that I'm going g to be disappointed with numbers. So I'm trying to come up with an awesome cam and head combo. With a high compression ratio. Leaning now towards stage 2 ls6 heads milled down. And I'll see if martin or Patrick g can spec a cam out for me.

I always wanted to see how TFS 215 and a MS3 will do. That setup should make crazy power.
