Default sooo i just picked up a 98 formula and i have a couple ?`s

Paid $2300 so I think I did pretty good. Few cosmetic problems but runs good.

The questions:

Anyone know how to tell if it has the c5 cam?

Oil pressure slightly fluctuates at idle, how much trouble am I in?

And does anyone have any suggestions on where to start for a security light on?

Thanks a bunch. Will post pics asap

If youre referring to a c5 corvette cam it shouldnt have one in it. That's nothing to worry about though because the fbody cam is larger. 98-00 fbodies had the largest cam that came in a production LS1

Well when you say something about oil pressure where is it bouncing around at? Also if you have the security light on and its running i wouldnt worry but if your having starting issues that stupid vats system will give you troubles.
One thing is check the key i have had issues before with them either clean the chip off and wiggle it around in the ignition see if that helps. But again if your not having any issues just start hammering it and have fun!

That's a solid pick up for $2300.
