Crane has a new direct replacement line of cams for production valvesprings
but I'd stay in the 210-216 duration range since you seem reluctant to put
a 2800-3200 stall converter. An ls 6 intake would be worth a few ponies as
well but a converter would be the single biggest improvement to your combo

i think i could live with a 2800 - 3200 stall.

If not willing to do a converter don't bother doing anything else.

If you are worried about the drivability of a mild 28-3200 stall then your ideas about what a stall is are DECADES behind the times.

Also have you checked to see if you have room for the truck intake? Almost as good as the LS6 and a whole lot cheaper.

Torquemax stage 1 is my choice. 223/227 .61x/.61x 111lsa only has 3 degrees of overlap so it will still drive nicely while keeping a decent lope at idle and making maximum under the curve power.

You'll need hardened push rods and our BTR dual spring kit. 2800-3200 stall is perfect.

IMO you've got way too much push rod in there and that can cause some serious issues all on its own. Lifters are something that are seldom thought about it seems, and IMO they are probably one of the most important parts of the valve train. The lifter acts as a medium along with the push rod between the camshaft and the part of the valve-train that actually opens and closes accordingly to the actuation of the camshaft and lifter.

You don't want to upset that medium that's for sure, and I guarantee they are not happy right now with that much pre-load.

I'd highly recommend measuring the push rod length and adjusting it accordingly.
