Default Has anyone had a problem with an ARP crank bolt coming out?

I have now seen 3 balancers come loose and one completely off that used the ARP crank bolt. All 3 cars had professional installs and never had a problem with the same pullies with stock bolts. Has anyone else seen this? I just like the idea of the reusable bolt due to trying different cams but what I've seen has made me a little uneasy about the ARP. Thanks.

What torque specs are you using?

We have had 1 come out. We have used a lot of these and have not had but 1 problem. Make sure you use loctite when installing them.

Thanks

After manual install, mine backed out slowly.
Took it to a local shop and they used an impact wrench.

It could have been that we didn't install it right the first time, but we were pretty sure it was torqued to spec.
Since reinstall, all has been fine +8000 miles.

Thunder racing told me to use the original to install/seat the pulley, then remove it and install the APR bolt and torque it.

Do what I do and use some Loctite 242 "blue" threadlocker. The 242 also contains lubricants to minimise galling of the threads.

I think the loctite is the key. They were all seated with the old bolts and torqued to spec. NONE used loctite. All of these motors have seen 7k so I'm guessing that loctite must be used.
