Default HELP please with exhaust on 2001 WS6 ( Super 10,Super 44, 40 series or 80 series )

I am in need of some help, in determining which of the flowmasters to put on my 01 ws6. I have listened to countless soundclips of different exhaust setups, and the flowmasters are the ones I've decided to go with ( although I have considered Borla ). Here's the thing.... I called 2 local shops and I also called Flowmaster directly, and I asked all three of them the same question ( which would sound best and give me the deepest sound, with the least amount of rasp ). They told me I could only put on the 80 series, unless I was willing to give up not having dual exhaust anymore. Is anyone familar with how to get around this or what would be involved in still having my dual exhast saved, while being able to use the series 40 or are the 80's what I'm stuck with. Anything is better than the stock I currently have, thats for sure. Thanks for everyones help and opinions - Mike

you dont actually have a true dual exhaust. You have a single y pipe then a single pipe all the way to a single in dual outlet muffler. I would advice just doing a whole catback as by the time you buy the muffler and have it welded up you wouldnt be much cheaper than just a whole 3" catback system.

The flowmaster 80 series is the only one that will fit in the stock location but it honestly SUCKS. It is very restrictive and wont gain really anything over stock. I would look at the magnaflow system if you're on a budget its around 380 shippe, its all stainless and flows very well.

i have an slp catback exhaust and i really like it. im not sure which style it is but i can probably send you a video if youd like, at idle its really quiet it then at WOT you can hear me 1/2 down the road lol. i also like the sound of the corsa exhaust but thats a pretty penny but probably worth it.

At least look at magnaflow. Unless you like that "Slowmaster" drone.
This. In every way.

Screw the chokemaster. I have one and don't like it one bit. Screwed over on the install too $250 after reusing my factory tips, the muffler is roughly $90 on jegs. /rant sry lol
My buddy has slp cat back on his t/a and it gives me an eargasm

Tsp duals w/sweetthunders ,best sounding exhaust for the money, best catback is gmmg but there pricey,y pipes create rasp period, duals on a h/c car just sound great,
