Default 2000 5.3L Vortec engine stumble

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra with a 5.3L Vortec. It has approx 160K miles and if I allow the engine to warm up I have no issues, but when I start it and drive off a few seconds later the engine stumbles as if it was not firing on all cylinders. It takes 10-20 seconds for it to recover, but it doesn't seem to fully recover until shut off again. I does not throw a code and I take care of routine/preventive maintenance regularly. Any ideas?

I would personally run some fuel system cleaner through it via added to the gas or Chevron or Texaco with Techron. I had similar problems years ago and using their gas fixed the problem. At the time the problem was pointing towards the injectors.

Fuel pump failures are very common on these trucks.
Idle air control motors as well.
Intake manifold gaskets leak, and on cold startup will cause rough running untill it enters closed loop.

Also check your coils. I had one go bad but it never threw a code. It would idle rough as would part throttle but full throttle was fine. I found it by using an infared temp gun and checking all the individual exhaust port temps and found # 8 was 150 degrees lower temp then the rest.
