Default Ls3 water pump on ls1 block

I not running powering steering and I have bought the belt and pulleys I need to run it . But I have ran into a issue with the tensioner Everything lines up perfect but the top tensioner . It sticks out father than the rest , causing the belt to slide off . I used 5060548 belt with replacing the alternator pulley with a ribbed one . I'm using a ls3 pump on a ls1 block . I used 3/4 spacers to make the pump line up but now the tensioner isn't lined up

Can you cut 1\2" off the back of the tensioner?

1\4 plate bolted to the back of the pump and mount the tensioner to that.
should move it back at least 1\2"

Grind the back side flat and square and make a 1\4" thick plate
bracket and bolt it to the back.
Drill it for the tensioner and mount it to the front.
It would require a longer belt.
