Milling/Porting 799's

I am in the process of building up a garage full of parts to start adding to my 99 ls1. I found a set of 799 heads locally for a reasonably price. My question is where can I send them to be milled/ported and what am I looking to spend. For a build on a budget am I better of just throwing them on with upgraded parts/cam? Looking for optimal power but is somewhat of a DD. Parts will be ls6 intake, cam/accessories, lt's, 4:10's.

You have numerous options. TEA/AI/WCCH/Livernois and many more. I was lucky enough to find a set that had already been done up by Total Engine Airflow.

Good Luck

If you are on a budget I think a performance valve job and milling is a pretty good bang for buck.

Before you mill, take a look at what size cam you want to put in. As for valve job, I would let AI work on them.

Pred is right, and they do chamber welding on some heads, so milling may not be required other than a skim to get flat. That way you keep the most ptv clearance.
