Default Options For Purchasing Thunder Racing's TR224 Cam?

I had my eye on Thunder Racing's TR224 cam for several years. However, now that they're no longer in business, any idea how I can get one? I know Comp Cams made them, so is it possible to call Comp Cams and ask them to make me one? Or, since the cam specs were propriety, that's not possible? Or, if it is possible, and Comp Cams can make it, did Thunder Racing do anything to it once they got them in, so even if Comp Cams can make me one, it still won't be exactly like I would have gotten it from Thunder?

I know there are similar cams out there, but I really liked everything about the TR224...

It's not magic and in fact new cam stuff has come out since then.

Talk to EPS (Geof used to work at Thunder Racing), Tick, or Texas Speed or maybe even the sponsor who just posted about a cam of similar specs.

The TR224 was the hot bandwagon cam years ago but no reason to be married to it.

Geoff would be your best bet. I don't know if it uses XE lobes or something else.

I believe Thunder's lobes were only theirs. Other then that you could get the cam cut with another lobe. Geoff at EPS likely designed the cam when he worked at Thunder so I'd just go to him and let him hear your combo. I've run a TR224 and while it did the job, I'm not running it anymore
