AI HCR 241's for boost???
 

Hey guys just picked up some 241s for my ls1 and decided to go turbo as well. I was thinking of sending my heads off to AI to get their HCR package but some guys told me its not worth it if im going boost....should i just throw em on as is or send them off? thanks for the help

oh and only going about 8 pound of boost...

Last I checked, high compression and boost weren't exactly a good match.

Why not just go with the regular AI 241 work but keep the compression low?

HCR is really only worth it for N/A engines that need compression. But it otherwise is the same as the regular 241 port work.

Honestly, you are better off with some 200 dollar 317 heads. Flow much better than your 241s and cost 1/5th of getting them ported.

Man if i would've known before...but its cause i already bought these heads and dont want to go through the struggle of trying to sell these heads and buying the 317s...but if a good deal comes than ill take em...this is only temporary til i build a 6,0 ....

Just do the normal 241 program and you'll be fine. Add some meth injection if you are worried about chasing it on pump gas, 8 pounds is pretty mild you will end up turning it up.
