Ls7 lifters

What's the difference between the gm performance ls7 lifters and the Delphi ls7 lifters ? There prices are different gm performance is a bit more but just wna the difference between them two

Nothing different. The GM Performance lifters might come from a different manufacture. That being the case, they'll still have the same performance and identical set-ups.

Both are made by Delphi, and when you disassemble both for inspection they look identical. However they carry a different part number from GM so I'm not sure.

Many other shops sell the Delphi lifters as genuine LS7 lifters.

So both perform the same I guess Delphi it is...would it matter what trays to run like ls2 ls3 ls7 etc will work?

Just use the LS2 trays, they also allow oil to drain back better

Like he said, substantial design improvement. Or go with link-bar lifters and chuck the trays.

Delphi ls7 lifters and ls2 trays it is..... Also Would I have to soak the lifters or I can just install them

You need to soak the lifters in oil before you install them

For how long do they need to be soaked for? I can use any kind of oil?

I ordered my lifters and trays already from BTR

I wipe down the external surfaces w/ mineral spirits and a clean cloth, including the roller, then soak in whatever 5W-30 is on the shelf. Light smear of assembly lube on both ends of the pushrod during final assembly and off you go.

PS: be sure to measure for pushrod length before final assembly, get the right pushrods for your setup.
